Christi Annin
Chief Financial Officer
Christi leads the finance, investment, HR, IT, risk management and compliance teams. With degrees in International Business Administration and Accounting, she’s a licensed CPA with extensive financial expertise and a commitment to supporting organizations that make Nebraska stronger. Christi enjoys running half marathons and is on a mission to complete one in all 50 states.
Anne Folkers, MA
Deputy Director
Anne supports the Foundation’s strategic and operational growth, working closely with the President & CEO to guide organizational priorities, grantmaking and programmatic initiatives. With a long career in nonprofit leadership, she is passionate about advancing the Scott family’s vision to be a catalyst for positive change. Outside of work, Anne enjoys all things sports — playing, watching and coaching her son’s basketball team.
Gary Freeman
Director of Business Operations
Gary guides strategic oversight of Scott Residential Management and Scott Data Center and serves as a member of the Investment Committee. With a background in business administration and accounting, he is dedicated to honoring the Scott family and continuing Walter’s legacy of leadership and impact. A Hastings native, Gary is an avid outdoorsman and a loyal Chiefs and Royals fan.
Patti Kahre
Executive Assistant
Patti provides executive support to the President & CEO, serving as a key liaison to the Foundation’s board members and managing day-to-day responsibilities that keep the organization running smoothly. With more than 25 years of experience as an executive assistant, she is dedicated to improving the communities the Foundation serves.
Sarah Lopez
Director of Grantmaking
Sarah oversees grantmaking and project management for several of the family foundations. She advises on strategic initiatives and programs that support arts and culture, public safety, human services and youth development. An Omaha native and UNO graduate, she brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit management and a passion for strengthening the community. Sarah enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors and volunteering at her children’s school.
Laura Miller, Ph.D.
Director of Education
Laura leads the Foundation’s education-focused grantmaking and scholarship programs, supporting more than 1,000 students each year through funding and programming. With over 30 years of experience in public education and nonprofit work, she is dedicated to empowering students to do great things. Laura enjoys outdoor activities like running, hiking and walking her dog.
Calvin Sisson
President & CEO
Calvin leads the collective efforts of all seven family foundations, implementing their strategic grantmaking and advancing their shared missions. With more than 30 years of experience in fundraising and nonprofit management, he is dedicated to advancing Walter Scott’s vision. Mentored by Walter himself, Calvin continues to find daily inspiration in building on his legacy.
Jenni Stoll
Communications Officer
Jenni leads the Foundation’s communications and brand efforts, sharing the story of the Scott family’s philanthropy and ensuring their legacy is represented with authenticity and purpose. With a background in journalism and more than 15 years in marketing and public relations, she brings an appreciation for organizations that strengthen the community. Jenni is a lifelong Omahan who shares a birthday with the state of Nebraska — March 1.
